David Leveille Chief Software Architect, eBid Systems, Inc. |
I was hired as a contract developer to migrate the company's existing applications from a struggling Access database to SQL Server 2000, applying coding "best practices" in the process. At the time, eBid Systems was housed in a single room. The CEO occupied the "executive closet". My contract was extended several months and the company moved to larger quarters.
I was involved in developing applications for new clients (Clark County Public Utilities) and supporting several of the company's primary clients (Port of Seattle, City of Portland, Sound Transit), developing in ASP, writing stored procedures for SQL Server 2000, testing, and customer telephone support. Additionally, I wrote the company's first user help files.
